I'm very excited to be presenting at MESH this year. The guys have given me the always-tricky last spot on the last day (will people be jazzed or ready for a martini?!) and I want to make the most of it. The best way to do that - talk about what you want to talk about.
My workshop is entitled "Building a Community". No small scope there. I'm focusing on building and nurturing community -- what has worked and what hasn't.
I've put some ideas together, but don't want this to just turn into a "talk at you" session. So, from a hands-on perspective, what would be interesting for you?
- Ideation and brainstorming around a fictional community based on some real-world successes and failures?
- People bring in their own community challenges and based on some criteria, the group responds?
Are there specific questions people have?
Would love any input. I've got a number of great examples as well as some proven "do's and don't's" from people who are far more expert than me. But the context is what I'd like your input on. Where are you at in your thinking about community building?
