From Brand Week ...
Anheuser-Busch is starting a non-beer business unit called "Long Tail Libations".
Seriously?
Anheuser-Busch has never said it can't beat them, but the No. 1 beer brewer is joining distillers in their own game by forming a separate spirits unit, Long Tail Libations, and testing its first product, Jekyll & Hyde.
The two bottles, intended to be mixed into a single drink, are now being tested in about 40 restaurant and bars in Columbia, Mo., as well as Denver, Las Vegas and Orlando, Fla. A-B wholesalers in those markets received licenses to sell distilled spirits. Jekyll is a 60-proof wild-berry-flavored liquid, and Hyde is 80-proof with a hint of licorice.
I poked around and couldn't find the origin of the name. But maybe A-B is paying more attention than I would give them credit for.
