We had our first two TIFF films today (FINALLY!!) One was at the Paramount and one was at the Cumberland. Waiting in line at each of them is VERY different and with their own pros and cons. Taking a page from Roro's compare and contrast book ...
Paramount: No smoking in the lineup
Cumberland: Able to catch some rays to prolong the summer tan
Paramount: Free copy of the Sunday Star
Cumberland: Hot pink fire truck handing out hot pink Gillette razors
Paramount: Lack of annoying people just out to see some celebs. However, also, lack of celebs.
Cumberland: Elaine Hendrix, presumably here for Bam Bam and Celeste; I know her from Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion
Paramount: Slightly-clueless volunteers who allow two lines to form for a show. Some ugly charging the doors ensued.
Cumberland: Cute girls from etalk Daily asking trivia questions before they hand out swag. I knew that Guy Ritchie directed Revolver, so I got an etalk Daily kit, complete with autograph book, autograph pen and camera! Booh-yeah, baby!
Below is my complete swag booty for the day.
