I have always secretly hoped that I would "get the call". You know ... find out that I'm really a super-hero, or a wonder-twin, or even that I have alien parents (why yes, Escape to Witch Mountain was one of my favourite childhood movies).
Sadly, this dream has never come true. Until now. Well, maybe not totally come true, but I have definitely gotten my first hint of my super-spy life-to-come via the Motorola KRZR. I'm participating in the KRZR Blogger outreach program, put together by cool kids Brendan Hodgson and Ian Barr at Hill & Knowlton. And golly, did I feel like a super-spy when I opened up the box! That is one very cool spy briefcase! And the phone! Hot!! Even the folks at Rogers Wireless thought so .. they clapped with glee when I opened up my secret-spy case to pull out the KRZR so they could activate it.
So, I'm all hooked up and ready to go. Oh, I also now have a Vancouver cell phone number (finally .. I know, it's only been 9 months) and it's last 4 digits spell "KATE" (Roro's brilliance!).
I'm looking forward to blogging about the KRZR .. not just b/c it's a cool gadget and we all know how I likes the gadgets. But also, there's a crazy meta opportunity to observe some of the folks I respect in this space attempt to build community (or at least buzz) around a product. So thanks, H&K, for letting me participate!
