I found Ms. Dewey today via Bryper.com. I love her. I love the idea of mixing a business tool (search) with entertainment. It's not the fastest search. And it certainly doesn't have the strongest interface for presenting search results. But that's not the point.
It turns out that Ms. Dewey is a Mircosoft Live experiment. Which I found surprising, but pleasantly so. It's interesting to read the criticisms referred to in this article on Webpronews, mainly around how Ms. Dewey doesn't live up to other search engines and that she is just an annoying personality.
People really need to chill out. Ms. Dewey is an experiment. It's showing a possibility .. what would happen if we combined search with entertainment? Does all search have to look like Google?
What I want to know is when the Internet stopped being a place to try new things, say, a place for innovation, and turned into a curmudgeon's paradise?
