Am in NYC for Blogon 2005. Arrived yesterday and hit Digital Life. Case Closed had a booth and I got my very own Steve! *Lots* of accessories at Digital Life. 2006 will be the year fashion and technology really intersect. The design of the technology iteself is getting much better (aesthetically and from an ease-of-use perspective -- thank you Apple!) but the ability to integrate the technology into our analog lives is the next big push.
Case in point: Delapods. These are purses that feature an interior pocket for the iPod family, protecting the devices from the elements, but allow the wearer access to the device through a clear window on one side of the bag. Now, I don't love a lot of the Delapod designs, but the point is - they saw a need that women had to integrate a digital device into their analog lives and crafted a solution.
We will defintely start to see more of this kind of accessory as more and more digital devices move down the adopter curve.
